Brief Description:  Spar box assembly (09-04)

Productive day today. I spent most of the day (with the help of #3 son, Benjamin), deburring and priming, then riveting the assembly together. Had a small issue with the rivets on the nut plates close to the edge, but I worked out a system that worked well. I only had to drill out one of the round head rivets, mostly due to technique. My squeezer and the squeezer tips are such that it would fit better to flip the work over (with the rivet on the bottom) and pull up while trying to squeeze, but that doesn't work for me. I suppose mounting the spar on its side would have worked, but I prefer to push down on the rivet, with the squeezer handle up. The created an issue since I couldn't get the gap open enough to completely squeeze the handle. So I just closed the handle as much as possible without bending the flange and that seemed to work just fine. Round head rivets seem to give me the most trouble, just something I need to work on.
