Brief Description:  Spar Box assembly (09-03)

Clecoed the spar box together in prep for final drilling the upper and lower horns and the balance arm. This required drilling through steel with the #12 bit. The first few holes went well, but the drill bit is already getting dull. I switched to the other bit (only two included with the tooling kit) and got one more hole complete. I’ve been keeping the speed slow it wasn't even cutting anymore. I gave up for the night and went looking for some better cobalt drill bits at some of the local stores. All I could find were regular length cobalt 3/16" drill bits, so I place an order to Avery for 6" long #12 drill bits and also ordered some torque seal. It looks like based on my research, that people are recommending to apply torque seal once the bolts have been torqued for inspection purposes, which makes sense, so I will too.
