Brief Description:  VS skin prep (06-06)

Received VS skin (VS-1202) replacement today, so I worked to prep the skin. I removed the film on the inside of the skin and use the rounded tip soldering iron to draw lines around the lines of holes. This seems to work pretty well, just need to figure out the speed and pressure.

Once everything was deburred and the holes drilled to size, I went ahead and dimpled the leading edge, no problem dimpling. The instructions didn't call it out, but I went ahead and deburred all the holes on the punch exit side (outside edge). Also figured out the best way to hold the nut plate in place while I set the first flush rivets. Using the cleco clap on one side while I set the other worked good, then I removed the clamp and set the other side of the nut plate rivet. Then moved onto the next one.

The ribs and spars are primed and ready to assemble for the next step tomorrow.
