Brief Description: Prep & prime VS spar and ribs (06-05)
Received the replacement VS front spar today in the mail. Drilled out the plate nut from the old one and very carefully machined countersinks into the new one. I used the new micro countersink from Avery which worked out very well. I noticed my cordless drill has a slight wobble to it as it rotates, so i used the air drill instead, which worked fine...just use it in short bursts, since it only has one speed (fast). Attached the nut plates and deburred all the pieces, then primed. Next I'll be ready to start putting it together and be ready when the new VS skin arrives, hopefully Tuesday.
