Used Template A to align "rivet line" with the Inboard rib rivet line. Adjusted the distance according to the drawing. Installation is in the last bay outboard, closer to the wingtip for better light coverage and ease of access from the wingtip. Taped the template in place to trace the opening hole on the wing . Cut the hole in the wing, then proceeded to file the edge until a smooth, clean edge was achieved. Sanded and buffed the edge with a fine sandpaper to creat a nice and smooth , burr-free edge for the plexi lens. Installed Template A back over the hole and marked the six holes as shown on the Template. Used the small retainer strips asba guide. Used a #40 drill bit and match-drilled the center holes, and used clecos to keep the retainer strip in place.
