Brief Description:  Working with Plexiglass Lens (LH)

Laid Plexiglass lens over opening. Traced a trim line on the lens approximately 3/4" bigger than the cutout on the LE from top and bottom, and 5/8" on the sides.
Trimmed the lens to the line using the 3M Polish wheel.
Finished lens by smoothing all corners and edges to avoid cracks.
Covered the lens with a transparent piece of plastic bag to protect its surface.
Made a "handle" using Gorilla tape for the lens and lap the tape over the lens top and bottom edge, and sticking the tape inside the lens.
Slid the lens into te hole by slightly sqeezing it. Snuggly pulled the lens out into the hole with the Gorilla tape.
Using the LE holes as a guide, match-drilled #40 the the plexiglass and held in place with clecos.
Enlarged the holes to #30 and installed clecos.. Removed the lens from the Leading Edge.

Drilled out the scre holes in the plexiglass with a 5/31" drill bit. Countersunk the plexi holes for the dimples in the skin to fit.
Countersunk the rivet holes on the stiffeninf strips for AN426 flush rivets. Enlarged the screw holes in the strips using the 5/32" drill bit. Deburred and primed strips.
