Brief Description: Fitting Attach Angles to Spar and Baffle (LH)
Match-drilled #40 all rivet holes attaching T-701-L Fuel Tank skin to ribs and baffle secured fuel tank to wing assembly using two rachet-type strap fasteners. protected rear spar with a piece of wood at the locations where the straps intersect the rear spar. Held down and secured the LH Tuel Tank to the spar and wing skeleton using two ratchet-type straps. Clecoed all remaining holes that attach Fuel Tank and baffle to spar. Match-drilled #19 the W-723 Leading Edge-to-Fuel Tank Joint Plate for 8R8 screws using T-701-L screw holes as guide. Placed 5/32" clecos in each new hole. Disassembled outboard Leading Edge from spar to reveal outboardmost T-703L Tank Rib and its corresponding outboard attachment Z-Bracket. Used Cleco clamps and existing 1/8" holes to secure T-703L rib in place. Match-drilled #30 the 5 holes that attaches the rib to the Z-bracket using the tank rib aft flange holes as a guide with a 12" drill bit with a drill bit stop at the tip to avoid accidental drilling into the spar. Final drilled the remaining holes in the same rib to #30. Placed clecos in all holes to secure the rib and baffle to the z-bracket. Repeated the step above on the inboardmost T-703R tank rib with the holes not previously match-drilled. Removed T-701-L Fuel Tank Skin and all ribs except for the outboard T-703L and the inboard T-703R fuel tank ribs which kept the T-702 Tank Baffle in place. Final drilled #30 all holes attaching the T-702 Fuel Tank Baffle to each of the T-712 Fuel Tank Attach Z-Brackets Deburred all holes and edges of all LH T-712 Tank Attach Z-brackets (x7) Cleaned with MS and Primed all T-712 Tank Attach Z-Brackets (x7). Final-drilled holes to #19 in T-701-L Skin that will attach the Fuel Tank to spar using 8R8 screws to Wing Spar
