Brief Description:  Building the Trim Tab

Clecoed the trim back together.

Clamped E-721 Trim Tab Hinge to the upper flange of E-606PP and the aft edge of E-701-L Elevator Skin.

Adjusted the position of the hinge on the elevator so that the inboard and trailing edges of the trim tab are aligned with the corresponding edges on the elevator.
Used a long straight steel angle to aid in aligning the trailing edge.

Match-drilled #40 and clecoed the forward portion of E-721 using the holes in E-701-L elevator skin and E-606PP Elevator spar as a drill guide.
Marked the inboard edge of E-701-L on E-721 hinge.
Removed E-721 and trimmed the inboard end to match the inboard edge of the E-701-L skin.

Re-clecoed the tab hinge and trim tab assembly onto the elevator.

Installed remaining riblets to Elevator itself and Trim Tab instead of bending flap sides.

Rebuilt E-616PP Trim Cover Plate and adjusted final Electronic Servo alignment with Trim Tab horns.
Primed EET-602B L/R Servo Support Z Channels and E-616PP Trim Cover Plate.
Riveted Servo Support and Cover Plate assembly together.

Ensured trim tab and elevator trailing edge to be in trail and no twist was seen.
Corrected minor adjustments to eliminate any twist in order to align them as perfectly as possible.

Bent lower edge of Trim Tab skin to avoid possible movement interference with Elevator Spar.
Trimmed servo's pushrod to size. Verified good Trim Tab travel Up/Down range.
Checked for final center alignment.
