Brief Description:  Interior Paint

As usual, bounced around a bit today, but got a lot accomplished. Transported the fuselage a couple miles down the road to the auto paint booth that I was able to find. Lucky to have someone willing to allow its use since painting in November can get tricky with temperatures. The fuselage transported well in a friends large enclosed trailer.

Once the garage was emptied out I was able to prime the interor of the elevator and airleron push-pull tubes. Unfortunately I grossly over estimated the amount of primer required. I mixed to the number 5 in picture 2 and after priming was down to the 4.5. A pretty significant waste of expensive primer.

I also pulled down the horizontal stabilizer and laid some 2" fiberglass stape over the tipcap seam. I'll let it dry and sand smooth before applying the evercoat 416 for a smooth fiberglass to aluminum transition. Lots done and nice to have a little garage space back.
