Brief Description:  FirberFrax

Before completing the firewall section I decided to match drill and cut the SS .005 Shimstock to sandwich the Firberfrax. The Shim stock cut very easily with Tin snips, but the cutouts had to be made with a dremel cutoff wheel followed by the grinding wheel to clean up the edges. All other holes were drilled, deburred, and ground as needed. The fiberfrax was extremely easy to trace and cut with a razerblade or scissors. Finally, I marked out a pattern of #30 holes and drilled them in the firewall for the rivets that will hold the fiberfrax and Shim stock. I figure once the components are on and holding everthing in place I will match drill the SS shim stock before pulling the 50 or so SS blind rivets.

This will be finished after the firewall is attached to the rest of the fuselage and all the riveting on the firewall is complete.
