Brief Description:  Firewall

Spent an incredible amount of time drilling a couple holes in the SS firewall. I thought the planning was detailed, but making sure the holes all stayed centered was time consuming. Also, while a step drill does farely well for holes up to 3/4 inch, the four 1 inch holes I had to cut were time consuming and frustrating. I eventually borrowed a 1" greenlee punch set from a co-worker and finished the larger holes. Dremel ground the holes to a finish and deburred. Also spent the time cutting the firewall pass thru to clear the support angles. All I need to do now is dimple the holes, match drill the through holes into the .005" SS shim stock and assemble the firewall.

I thought this section was going to be pretty quick and had I not planned and drilled all the firewall components it probably would have been fast. I do believe though that by spending 7 hours on the firewall component locations now I have probably saved myself 20 hours later on down the road. We will see.
