So after making the fuel level sender wire the excat dimensions shown in the manual, I determined the bent leg was too long to prevent contact with the skin. So, the solution was to shorten the leg which involved a few bends with a fluting pliers. It doesn't look pretty, but using the fluting pliers was extremely effective and now the sender doesn't contact the skin at the top or bottom. I also placed a small smear of Sealent where the steel rod would contact the skin (if it ever did) to prevent it from vibrating a hole. I then installed the rear tank baffle on the left tank and realized one of the blind rivets didn't go through the rib flange before it was pulled. I was able to see it through the fuel cap fitting. I plan to call builder support in an hour or so to determine if it matters. Hopefully not since I don't wish to introduce debris into the nice clean fuel tank.
