Heated up the garage for a few hours and was able to get the horizontal stabilizer tip cap fairings trimmed to fit. After match drilling the #40 holes and doing a rough cut with a dremel cutoff wheel I realized the sides needed to be bowed out in order to properly fit. I jammed a piece of wood in the middle to bow them before tracing and trimming to get the proper fit. I then traced the pattern on the aluminum and will do the fiberglass and epoxy patch on the back once temperatures warm up. The thought is that the fiberglass patch on the back will hold the fairings in the bowed shape so I can remove the wood that is temporarily placed inside. We will see.
