Brief Description:  Painted hat shelf, reinstalled baggage floor

Well I finally got the hat shelf area painted. This was one of the punch list items before I could put the cabin top on for good. The paint I used is some nice stuff. My local paint supplier also supplies industrial paints and this Basa-Nato paint is one such paint. It can go directly on aluminum without a primer and is supposed to be very durable. I eyeballed the color when I got it and I think I ended up a little too dark but oh well. I also got to put my high end SATA paint gun to use for the first time and all I can say is wow! I'm still learning how to use it properly but even fumbling through it this time gave some very nice results. As always it's in the quality of the tools. I also put the baggage floor and door back together now that all of that wiring is run. Lastly I took care of some cracks that I found in the F1010 bulkhead. Aparently they had a problem with the forming of some of them a while back and the move from Texas must have caused them to appear. The advice from the factory was to file them out which is what I did. I also took pictures of them filed out and sent them to Van's for validation. If it needs to be replaced now is the time to do it.
