The more I work on these ski racks the less I like them. While I have no doubt they will work fine I think this is turning into something much more convoluted than I originally intended. I know skis will fit in the cabin but they are bulky and I don't want them free floating. I also intended on an arm rest for the rear seats which would interfere with putting anything through between them. I'm basically done with them at the moment anyway so i'm going to stop with them until the cabin top and stuff is together. At that time I may say screw it and rip out the mid mounts. The aft mounts are very solid and are fine to leave in place as I shouldn't need to go back that far for anything. As you will see I added a cross brace to stiffen them up a bit. I can't do this with the mid mounts because the tops need to open to allow the skis to drop in.
