Brief Description:  Drilled right wingtip

I know I said I was going to wait with the wing tips but I ran out of things to do other than body work. I'm still kind of waiting by leaving the trailing edge rib until the wings go on. I believe this part is the most critical when it comes to making sure the trailing edge is lined up with the aileron in netural. I also want to get the lights installed in them and any other items like the nav antenna so it seemed prudent to have the tips mostly ready to go to minimize any possible damage.

The tip itself isn't too bad compared to all of the problems others have had. Van's really does a bad job when it comes to fiberglass. I will note that my right wingtip is a 1/4" short on the inside, tapering out to evan on the outside.

I'm probably one of the more vocal people when it comes to Van's product's. A lot of people hold them high on a pedestal for the products they have brought to the masses and if you say something bad about them you might as well tell the person his wife is ugly and his baby is uglier. I treat Van's like any other vendor and feel that the only way to make them better is to be vocal about the problems. May others agree. Van's doesn't. They do have a good product, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it, but their customer service and quality control really needs improvments. I will say they have recently automated some of their inventory so I should see improvments when the fuselage arrives.
