Brief Description:  Painted engine mount

One of the things I have needed to do was address the painting of the engine mount. Because I, like others, had interference with teengine and lowere cross brace on the mount, Barrett had one of their local aerospace welders make the modifications to the mount. This left me with a cross brace that needed to be repainted. I could either match the paint to the original or just repaint it to match the engine. I do have some powdercoat that is a close match but I don't have an oven big enough for the mount. I really didn't want to spend a couple hundred on having someone do it either. I did have some leftover paint that Barrett sent me that they used on the engine so I decided to use that. i scuffed the whole mount and shot it with the paint using my el chepo HF gun that has recieved pretty good reviews. This paint isn't catalized but it did dry fast. That combined with all the tight areas to work in left me with a good looking paint job but not a great one because I couldn't keep a wet edge. Eityherway it was a no cost easy way to address the problem and I was rather impressed with the job the HF gun did.
