Brief Description: Put down first coat of QuietCar
One of the things I am doing is using a viscoelastic sound deadening material in my -10. For people not familiar with the term "viscoelastic" it is the same stuff that is used for the "tempur foam" beds and is also reffered to as "memory foam". This form of it is a water based paint and should work well for this application. The company that makes it claims it does a better job than the industry standard Dynamat. Products like Dynamat are basically just foam impregnated with asphalt and use their weight to deden vibrations. This stuff works in a similar way but can be lighter because it bonds to the surface. Also I wanted something that was more of a paint to eliminate the possibility of water pooling and causing corrosion. This stuff can be used in wheel wells and is waterproof once cured.
5 Gallons will go a long way. This 5 gal weighs 72 pounds!
