Brief Description:  Started fitting my carbon fiber panel

Well my new carbon fiber showed up this week from Geoff Combs. It really is a piece of work! No instructions on the setup came with it but Geoff had posted a bunch of pictures a while back and I was able to figure out the best approach for screwing it together from that. Some people think working with fiberglass is messy and hard on tools, carbon fiber is 10 times worse.

I talked to Rob this week and it looks like I won't see my EFIS before OSH. I did get to see some screenshots of the synvis and it looks VERY nice. Even though it's delayed at least 3 months longer than I expected (8 months longer than he originally said) I think it's still a good decision and is the best EFIS for the money around today.

I need to get my wiring figured out ASAP so I can get Bill my final layout and he can cut the inserts for my panel. I was also planning on getting it up on the gear and the engine hung as the next step but I decided it makes much more sens to try and get as much done on the top and stuff with it on the ground. I also will be ordering my belts this week from Dave McNeill.
