I was able to get the main gear mounted and it now rests on its own legs. I still have to run the brake lines olong the legs but that should be fairly quick as I have the Banaco flexible lines. I also have the modified wheel pant mount that Tim O did as part of a group by a while back so I shouldn't have any problems with that in the future. I also spent some time trying to get the gear legs aligned properly. What I ended up doing is dropping a plumb bob off of the two main spar mounts and putting a line on the ground that is parallel to the aircraft fuselage. I then used a square to check the alignment of the axles before final drilling them. I believe I have abut 1 degree of toe in so I should be good. It is very easy to end up way off from a small movment of the legs so this should be part of the plans in my opinon.
Alignment in progress.
The brakes and fairing attach to this hardware in addition to the wheel.
