Brief Description:  More sanding and initial fit of console

I did some more rough sanding of the cabiun top bringing it close to the final form. Another thing I did today is some initial fitting of the overhead console I am going to use. I wish I could take credit but I got the idea from Debbie Dewey's RV-10. It's a brand new S-10 overhead console I picked up off of ebay for about $30 and is darn near a perfect fit. It has three attachment points to secure it to the overhead cabin lid. To get the final fit I will basically use foam and fiberglass to make a lip for it to sit on and then build up a couple of hardpoints that I can then drill and tap for the srew locations. This is an awsome idea, the lights are in perfect locations and you have some overhead storage. Additionally you can hide some status lights behind the smoked display screen or locate some overhead switches.

On another note, work is going to pretty much stop for a couple months. Amy and I accepted an offer on our mobile home yesterday and, if all goes well, will need to be out by mid August. Adding to that the two week trip to Appleton for Airventure and house hunting and that leaves us about two weeks to pack up the place and get it into storage here at my workshop until we find a new house in the Appleton area. Once we have the house I then need to build out a workshop at the house, or my dad's place which has a runway, which will probably take a month or two. So hopefully by October progress should be restarting.
