Brief Description:  Started fabrication of fuse longerons

Well I should be done with traveling for a little bit again and it is time to resume my normal daily aircraft work schedule. I have been slowing down to help the financial side of things but I will also have a bunch of little bit's and pieces in the future that will proabably cause some stops and starts anyway.

I've been going back and forth with Ken Scott at Van's over my right gear leg mount. It just does not want to line up correctly. The first issue was that the forward brace leg was hitting the mid seat rail support. Ken suggested that it may have moved while cooling and to give it a few wacks with a mallet. Well I have done my fair share of welding and I know that if it was jigged correctly it wouldn't have moved. Only half liking the idea I gave it a try anyway. This improved the situation but then I ran into fit problems on the lower part that rests against the spar and F1004K. So I pulled it and checked it against the left leg that fit fine. Turns out that the forward brace is extending about 5/32nd farther than the left and the lower part next to the spar was about 3/32 longer. This would explain my problems So I asked Ken to send me a new mount. Should ship next week.

While waiting on the new mount I am starting on chapter 29. I already screwed up my forming block so I will have to pick up some more poplar. In the mean time I am forming the longerons.

.. and here you can see that the lower part also extends to far. The mount geometry is too far off.
