Brief Description: Installed the rudder pedals and master cylinders.
This morning I installed the rudder pedals on the pedal frames. Once again, Van's does a wonderfull job on the engineering and the pre-punched parts (hard to screw up a CNC punch) but the welding guy is no more than average at best. Almost every complaint on these kit's has been around either the fiberglass or weldments. The frames for the rudder pedals have some welds that are too bulky making it very difficult to get the bolts in that hold the pedals. In one case the bolt was forced into an angle because the weld was sticking up so close to the hole. I really wish Van's would get their head out of their ass with some of the QC issues. The rest of their stuff is top notch.
