Brief Description:  Drilled shelf to supports, deburred, alodined.

Not a lot to comment on today. Did the standard drilling and parts prep stuff. One item of note is that I picked up some thicker flat stock from Lowe's this afternoon and re made the two brackets. The old one's would have been fine but I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to go a little heavier. I don't know for sure what the original sizes were but doing a cheap micrometer measurement, it looks like the original bracket was .032 and the new one is .063. If that's the case it validates my original thought that using .063 for the angle supports would have been perfect. I plan on finishing this little side project tomorrow. Shouldn't be too difficult as I just have the rear skin but this requires crawling in there and at 6'2" and 245lbs, I don't relish the idea.

Also had my first visit from a tech counselor today so I probably only really spent 1.5 hours on the project. He was happy with my work and didn't find anything of note. His name is Martin Sutter and has built several RV's. He was recommended by the DAR Mel Asburry so I figured I couldn't go wrong. He has a beautiful 6 that looks brand new even though it has over 2300 hours and is on it's second engine! Very nice guy.
