Well I know it's been a while but my travel schedule has been really cutting into my free time. I thought I had someone to take over in Pittsburgh for me but that fell through and I've been spending my free time home with my family mainly. So anyway, Airventure is in full swing and I camped down there the last few days. Airventure is always a big motivator and one of the things that has been causing my slow down also has been the doors. The doors are universally considered one of the top 3 PITA parts of the aircraft to do, I want to get as much of the cabin top, including the doors, done before I put it on the gear just because it's easier at ground level to work on. So today I decided to go back to my old routine of not overthinking things and just get moving. With that I got the door strut mounts put in place and secured and I also put some fairing compound on the cabin top where it meets the fuselage. I'll let this setup and hit it again tomorrow.
