Brief Description:  Completed firewall

Finished up the firewall today. Took a while because of all the parts and a good chunck has to be riveted by hand instead of using the squeezer. I get the impression this is how much of the fuselage wil go as there are not a lot of parts. Two things of note, the blue thing in the middle of the tunnel is the stock fuel selector bracket. I seriously doubt that is where I will mount it so I'm not attaching that at the moment. The other item is around fireprrofing the firewall. Vans sends two cheesy aluminum boxes for the heated air which would melt away in about a minute in a fuel fire. So I am considering replacing them with SS same as the firewall itself. Along that same line Van's suggests using proseal to seal all of the littl holes left behind. Again, the stuff isn't fire resistant so I will probably get some of the newer fire caulk that is made for this purpose.
