Brief Description:  Finished off cabin top, wiring, wheels

Scott came by to give me a hand in riveting the turtledeck in place. no way to do that by myself. I also did the epoxy filler around the doors and bolted everything down. Scott also put together the main gear tires for me. I then spent some time wiring up the baggage compartment and hat shelf lights. I was originally going to use some blue tube lights that you see in car parts stores to pimp your ride with. Stein sells some nice blue LED's but they are rather expensive to use back here and I already had the tube lights. I went with blue so they can be turned on in flight without blowing out my night vision. Anyway, I was in Wally world a couple weeks ago and saw what looked to be LED's that were identical to what Stein sells but only 15 inches long and $14! They had a little battery in the package so you could turn them on and see how they look, looked good to me so I picked up four. Got them back to the shop and compared them to the set from Stein and they are exactly the same, just shorter. So I got them in and all wired up. As you can see in the picture they work great and it was really nice to have the first sytem up and running. I have two of the 15" lights on the baggage area cross beam and two in the hat shelf. I'm still thinking about adding a third to the cross beam but I'll wait until it's dark in the shop to see how they are.
