Brief Description:  Finished console and some firewall work.

I finished the overhead mount this morning. I also did a little more contouring yesterday just to help the headliner material to conform better. Turned out pretty good but the final judgment is reserved until I put the headliner on. I also put together the oil cooler box. I'm going to go with a little better oil cooler as the general consensus when talking to people that have flown the stock is it could be a little better. This is also confirmed when I talk with Pacific Oil Coolers. I don't know if I will go with a Stewart Warner from them or the one that Alex sells from Airflow Systems. I'll probably go with Alex's as people have reported a drop in temps with his and it is a fair amount less than the SW. I also put the pressure tap on the firewall. Two things with this. First I had yet another nutplate that just would not take the bolt. This is the same problem I had in the tailcone around the trim attach and I'm thinking I had a batch of malformed nutplates. I checked the old nutplate when I removed it and saw no damage from bucking which was my first thought. The other thing is I'm debating which components I want to powder coat in the engine compartment. I was eyeing a powder coat set from Eastwood for a couple years now and finally picked one up because I have an old oven lying around. I want to get the firewall mostly ready to accept the engine so that stuff is out of the way.
