Well I decided it was time for a change of sceanery so I started to fit some of the fairings. Van's makes a good airplane but fiberglass is not their forte. None of them were really close to fitting and the top rudder fairing needed a 1/2 inch taken off. They will all need a fair amount of sanding and smoothing prior to paint.
I also started my camera project. I am putting an all weather camera in the VS Fairing that will point forward with the top of the canopy just in view at the bottom of the picture. I've seen footage from another guy that did this and it's really cool. I will also have it interfaced into the entertainment system for a birds eye view. May be useful in an emergency also.

Some of these need considerable trimming
The half moon shaped foam will get epoxied into the top and the camera bracket will get attached.
