Spent a couple hours starting the work to stretch the cowl by 1/2". Mainly pulling the camlocks and scarfing the fiberglass in prep for the new layups. I still have the pieces I cut off, and I considered using those by reattaching them, but given it's only 1/2" I decided it would be better to layup new glass to ensure good strength as these are going to also bisect the new camlock positions.
I also spent some time on a few misc things. I verified I have no side tone on the SL-30 anymore. I don't have the sticks installed yet so I couldn't check the transmit function. Either way it will have to go to SteinAir for a full checkout. Not sure what happened to it but I'm fairly sure it had something to do with the audio splitter. It may also be a problem with the audio panel but I have no easy way to check that so I'll send this off first and have it checked out. If I knew someone locally that had the SL30, I could swap and check it that way.
Lastly the PFD, which has the AoA hardware didn't have the key to activate it. AFS kindly sent me the key to activate it and it's good now.
