Well after coming back from a two week ski trip I realized that I had the day off at work so I spent some time working on the gear fairings. I washed down the fiberglass parts as they have been sitting for YEARS collecting dust. I then trimmed the flange to the recommended 3/4" and was able to get the nose wheel fairing clecoed together. I may go with skybolts on thee also but haven't decided yet.
Speaking of Skybolts, I ordered the needed components to switch from hinge to skybolts on the firewall interface. However I had previously installed hinges which means I had to drill out all of those rivets and remove them in preperation for the skybolt flanges.
