This morning I was able to finish all the rough trimming on the cabin lid and also started some of the final cleanup. I sanded down the intersection on the lid where it meets the forward deck but I haven't checked the fit yet. You really end up sanding and trimming a lot more off than you would expect. Another note, an air powered cutoff saw works the best where you can do straight lines but you had better have a large compressor as you will use a lot of air. I have actually drained my 60gal compressor down to about 40psi from running the cut-off non stop. I am also using a 6" DA sander for rough cleanup. I suggest you get a second pad for any DA/RO sander that you use and keep one for rough sanding like this as you will eat the pad up a bit. Also you probably want a full mask and closed goggles.
It fits, but still needs a little trimming.
