Brief Description: Finshed hat shelf door and started Ch 35
My camlocs for the hat shelf door showed up yesterday so I put them in this morning. These worked very well. I started out riveting them in with solid rivets but the clearence wasn't the best because of the adjustable nature so I switched to CS4-4 pop rivets. I may carpet the bulkhead which will finish it off nicely. It takes maybe 10 seconds to unlock all the camlocks and 30 seconds to close them again. I have retaining rings for the lugs but I'll hold off on putting them on until the finish work is done as they are impossible to take off without destroying them.
I also started on Chapter 35 which is all of the closeout panels and rear floor. Lot's of people have had some major problems getting the floor pans back out once they were drilled because of the super tight fit. I was able to get them out in less than a minute by using soem black clecos in the platenut holes along the aft edge for leverage and then using an industrial dental pick to work the aft lip over the rivets and stuff. Worked slick.
