Brief Description: Riveted left side and began fabricating temp gear.
This morning I riveted the left side and part of the bottom. The rest of the bottom and part of the right side will need a helper. One thing I am doing is fabricating some temporary gear for the aircraft until I get to the real gear attach point. I also do not have that subkit yet. Simply I am using some 1.5" iron angle that is 1/8" I bent one end to create a foot that I can then weld to a castering wheel. I can then bolt these to the spar. For the third wheel I am going to actually turn the RV-10 into a taildragger by using one of the spare tie down rings and welding it to a piece of angle that is made the same as the front. This combination will allow me to move the airframe around for now. When I'm ready to hang the engine I will switch to the real gear and it will once again have a nose wheel.
Riveting the left side of tailcone and part of the bottom.
