Brief Description:  Installed the Main Landing Gear

I got my engine jack and some moving straps and attached the straps around the front of the fuselage a couple feet aft of the firewall. I raised fuselage high enough for the gear legs and wheels to clear the floor and wrestled the gear legs into position in the gear leg socket. The gear legs were a very tight fit into the landing Gear Mount on both sides but after a fair amount of manipulation, I was able to align the holes in the Landing Gear Socket and opened the pre-drilled 9/32” holes to.311 diameter by back drilling the Landing Gear Mount Socket and Gear Leg. After setting the correct torque on the bolts, I got all the parts for the main landing gear, wheels, and brakes ready for installation. This part of the process took three hours since it’s been nearly 10 years since I unpacked all the boxes of parts and I’ve moved, re-labeled, and repacked the finish kit at least four times. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep all the parts together in the portions of the kit they were needed for…my bad. The good news is I found everything and can get started on the wheels and brakes tomorrow.
