Brief Description: Setting Wing Sweep and Incidence
This is the rear attach spar after I pulled the wing off the right side of the fuselage. You can see by the rub marks how much fun it was to get the wing on & off; and how tight the tolerences are... that's the thickness of one layer of primer. I used a file to shave off less then 1/16" from each wing rear spar attach mount and I also notched the attach-mount to clear a common rivet where the plans should have specified a flush rivet. Before this is all done I may drill-out the common rivet, dimple the skin, and install a flush rivet. Anyway, I had to do this same process on both wings. Next you push the wings back onto the fuselage, insert the guide pins and bolts, re-level the fuselage, re-square the wings, re-set the plumb bobs and check the sweep again.
Thankfully, this time all the plumb bobs centered over the stretched string. And that's a good thing because my fun-meter is pegged way-over to the right.
