Brief Description:  Electirc Flap Assembly Fabrication

Electric Flap actuation is standard on the RV-7A. The power comes from a sealed motor/gear drive assembly between the seat backs, driving the flaps through a welded steel actuator and pushrods connected to the inboard end of the flaps. Image 1 is a picture of the assembled actuator push rod end. The plans call for a safety wire hole to be drilled in the end of the push rod.
Next I installed the flap actuator in the baggage compartment using bearing bolcks on the uprights in the center of the actuator and on the ends.
