Brief Description:  Pitot Tube installation

I received my heated, Gretz composite pitot tube from Spruce Aircraft. The pitot was way too expensive and you have to do lots of trimming, grinding, and fabrication work to get this installed. Additionally, after I marked up the paperwork and did some gringing on the composite material, I read there is no warrantee after the thing is installed. Other guys are having pretty good success with this so I've decided to keep it. I hope this wasn't a mistake.

I had to fabricate an aluminum bracket and rivet this to the rib. This is what one side of the mounting plate rests on. Next I had to regrind the hole the chromed mounting piece goes into because the holes are not machined correctly. Once I got that in place I drilled and riveted the backplate nuts onto the base clecoed the mounting base to the spacer and top plate.
