Brief Description:  Installing the Nose Gear Wheel Pant (cont.)

In addition to not having much material to work with on the nose gear wheel pant, you have to do a considerable amount of guess-work on ho much fairing to remove to clear the wheel on the bottom side of both the front and aft sections of the wheel pant. This is a process of trial-and-error of error where you have to “sort-of” fit the pant on the nose wheel, guess how much to cut off, cut, then repeat until the pant finally slides over the wheel. Smarter guys then I would probably do this in a couple attempts. I think I repeated this 8-or-9 times for each the forward and aft sections of the wheel pant. I was amazed at the amount I had to cut out to get the nosewheel to fit.
