Brief Description:  Cut excess material off the Lexicon/Plexiglass Can

Today, I taped and cut the bottom side/front & rear excess flanges off the canopy; then sanded the cut edges to a rounded, smooth surface to prevent any stress cracks. The cutting process was straightforward. I used a custom cutting tool a friend of mine made and it worked great. The next step is to lay the canopy frame inside the canopy bubble to find the best point of fit between the shape of the canopy frame center tube and the shape of the canopy bubble. Once the ‘sweet spot range’ for fit is determined, I’ll mark the centerline and the fore/aft positions of the canopy latch handle tube on the inside of the canopy for drilling.
