The Roll Bar is bolted to the cockpit rails with spacers that have to be fitted and fabricated…not an easy task when you’ve already routed map-lite wiring inside a channel where the fittings have to go. Also, the plans aren’t too explicit about how to get to the nuts, once you finally get the spacers, washers and nuts on the bolts. I finally had to drill a hole using a Unibit the same size as my socket wrench and really hope I didn’t destroy any of the wiring. Also, the Roll Bar was scratch during transit from VAN’s so I had to paint over this very nice heat-treated, epoxy finish. I couldn’t find a matching paint and my finish is not nearly as nice as VAN’s.
