Brief Description:  Manifold Pressure Fitting & Prep Aft Fuselage Skin

I found one last discrepancy on the firewall which I corrected today. When I mounted the Grand Rapids EIS, there is a separate module which senses and measures Engine Manifold Pressure. Grand Rapids provided no explanation where to install the module except it had to be inside the cockpit and it had a rubber vacuum hose fitting. I originally mounted it on the inside of the firewall in an area on the lower-left side and ran the rubber hose through the firewall. After studying my engine installation manual, VAN’s provides a hose that connects to a port on the #3 cylinder; and has a firewall penetration fitting for the GRT EIS vacuum hose. The only problem is the firewall penetration fitting needs to be mounted on the right side of the firewall near the #3 cylinder, below the brake fluid reservoir. So, I moved the fitting and ran a vacuum hose from the EIS module to the fitting. After this was complete, I started prepping the rear fuselage top skin by painting the inside portion which is visible in the finished baggage compartment and clecoed the skin in-place.
