Brief Description:  Firewall Forward Prior to Closing Front Deck

I looked ahead at the Engine Installation Plans to see if there were any items that needed to be installed on the firewall prior to closing up the front deck. One of the major items to install is a Transducer Manifold which ports fuel & oil pressure lines, and the fuel and oil transducers which send signals to my GRT Engine Information System (1st picture below). The Transducer Manifold has three ports for Pressure Lines and Transducers but after I installed it I realized there was not a lot of room to secure one rivet to the piano hinges that hold the cowlings onto the fuselage. I looked at all the engine installation schematics and it looks like I don’t need the 3rd transducer mounting port (90% sure; 10% not-so-sure)! Then I found a small note on the engine installation plans that said “You may cut off the top port on the manifold if you don’t’ need it”…so I did the only logical thing to do; I flipped a coin and decided to cut off the top of the transducer to make access for the riveting later down the road…I hope I really don’t need the port! WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF??? On top of that, the cut was difficult to do because all the gooey sealant I put on the transducers had already set up and I couldn’t easily remove the fuel pressure transducer which was pre-wired, so I had to cut it in place. Cut made, I reinstalled the manifold and placed some additional insulation on the fuel transducer wires.
