Brief Description: Completed GRT EFIS Connections
|
|
This week I connected all of the remaining wires for the remaining Grand Rapids Technology (GRT) Electronic Flight Information System (EFIS). I also verified all the integration with the Garmin 430W COM/NAV radio, Garmin GMA 240 Audio Panel, Digiflight IIVSGV Autopilot, NAVWORX ADS600-EXP ADSB System, GTX 327 Transponder and the ACK E-04 Emergency Locator Transmitter. I connected and configured the switch-controlled GRT back-up battery so it gets charged during every flight and can be used to load flight plans, warm up the EFIS and Radios, etc. prior to engine start. I also connected the screen/light dimmer and internal GRT clock to the appropriate dimmer and always-hot busses. Finally, I connected the left button on the pilot stick grip to a page change/screen flip function which will make viewing the GRT Engine Monitoring Information, MAP, airport data, or split screen functions much easier depending upon the current screen functions I have designated.
