Brief Description: Right/Left Resistive Float Fuel Level Senders to E
Today I wired the VANs Resistive Float Fuel Level Senders to EIS/EFIS Fuel Level Display. The float senders require a 4.8V EIS Auxiliary Excitation and a 470 Ohm ½ Watt Resister to register fuel levels from each wing tank to properly on the EIS and EFIS. I also had to “daisy-chain” the 4.8 excitation input to the Hall Effect Current Sensor because the sensor is not hard wired to the alternator output. It took me a little while to wrap my head around how to do the wiring and only have the resisters in-line with the Float Senders and not the Hall Affect Current Sensor. I drew up a little diagram and it was easy to wire/solder after I could visualize the connections on paper. I also completed the final wiring for the outside air temperature probe and connected this into the EIS/EFIS architecture.
