Brief Description:  Completed wiring for the FlightStream 210

It's been nearly four months since I've been able to work on the RV. We went on a vacation with our kids to the Grand Canyon, Arches National Park and toured some of the Southwest. In July my mom passed away and I've been in Denver for a couple months helping our daughter and family remodel and move to a new house. Will be going back in another 2 weeks but decided to finish wiring the FlightStream 210 while I had a little spare time.

Combined Garmin Flight Stream 210 (Pin 5) with the Power wire from GDU 370 GPS. Connected Garmin Flight Stream 210 (Pin 15) to the Common Aircraft Ground Bus. Connected Garmin FlightStream 210 (Pin 8) to Pin 59 of the Garmin GNS 430W (RS-232 IN--Grounded the Shielding at the GNS 430W). Connected Garmin Flight Stream 210 (Pin 9) to Pin 58 of the Garmin GNS 430W (RS-232 OUT--Ground the Shielding at the GNS 430W). Removed from Garmin Flight Stream 210 Harness wires from (Pins# 4, 10, 13, & 14). Relabeled and Reused wires for the AOA Flap Switch.

The Flight Stream 210 is a small wireless gateway that enables up to 4 compatible i-Pads and or i-Phones to stream information to and from your avionics system via Bluetooth®. The Flight Stream 210 offers GPS, attitude, weather and traffic streaming from a Stratus 2S AND the biggest capability for flight plan syncing with the GNS 430W series navigators as well as the ability to display attitude information using an on-board AHRS¹.

While I was in Denver I purchased a STRATUS 2S so in conjunction with ForeFlight and the Flight Stream 210 I can now get Dual-band ADS-B weather, traffic, GPS, backup attitude, and pressure sensor on my I-Pad Mini as well as directly program flight plan information directly into my GNS 430W Navigation System. Coupled with my NAVWORX IN/OUT ADS-B I am fully compliant with the FAA 2020 mandates and all of the data will be displayed on my Grand Rapids EFIS.
