Reorientating the Dynon remote compass meant I needed to pull the wires and reroute them to a different location so the wiring connector would be in the correct orientation...2 hours of messing around that could have been avoided if I'd done this right the first time. I typed and printed up all the lables for the wiring in the wing tip (arial bold 6 font). Then cut each of the individual lables with a paper cutter and scissors and placed inside of clear shrink wrap. I also re-accomplished all the wire-end terminals and shrink wrapped in color coded shrink wrap. I'll be doing this with all the wiring. It's very time consuming but if I (or anyone else) ever has to do any maintenance, there will be no question what each of the wires are terminated to and where they go. All ground wires have green shrink wrap. Hot leads have red or black on their terminals. I'm also putting tie-wraps and cable clamps around the plastic conduit. There should never be any chaffing or shorts using this process.
