Brief Description: Install fiberglass tips on rudder
I finally am ready to begin running electrical wires from the back end of the aircraft forward. I haven't dome much of the fiberglass work up until now and it's been nearly 2 years since I installed the Whelan Strobe Light in the tail-piece. I spent nearly 3 hours trying to fit and measure the fiberglass R-911 Rudder bottom around the rudder horn. When I finally was ready to cut the fiberglass, I realized there are very light scribe marks on the fiberglass indicating where I was supposed to cut. Duh...So I marked the scribe-lines with a marker, drilled some stop-holes, and cut using a dremmel with a cut-off bit. (Incidently, it's a good thing the scribe marks were there because I was off about an 1/8 inch in trying to figure out the angle and the depth)
