I made it through the first page of directions. Drilling rear spar and rear spar doublers. Primed the elevator bearing. First time using my downdraft box. The box was constructed with a leaf blower, router speed control and furnace filters. It blows out below the garage door. It did not remove all fumes but it definitely helped. First rivets!! I riveted the brackets and bearing for the elevators with the pneumatic squeezer. They look good. The bearing did not appear to be perfectly centered in the bracket but I got a thumbs up from the EAA chapter members and Vans. Prepared front spars by clecoing and drilling. Shaped tapers on front spar doublers. I used the generic disc sander I purchased at menards. They are ready to bend but I’m to tired to attempt that.
