Brief Description: Van's SB07-02-06, Control Sticks and Ray Allen gri
Cleaned the section of the right stick to allow the removable portion to slip insided. Drilled a hole for a AN3-13A Bolt to secure according to Van's Service Bulleting: SB07-02-06. Next, determined how much the stick receeds into the Ray Allen grip and also to know how much of the Ray Allen grip extends beyond. This done to determine the length to cut the sticks so that I have about 3/8 of an inch clearance beneath the panel. Marked and cut both sticks to achieve the same depth. Next, positioned the grip tube spacers so the grip face is pointing aft. Using the spacer's mounting holes for reference, marked, then drilled and tapped the four holes per stick for the 4/40 allen screws supplied with the grip. Next came the wiring. As I only have flap control and the push-to-talk in each grip, there were only four wires to connect in each grip along with a ground wire connecting the internal switches. For the left stick, the wires go straight out the bottom. The right stick has the wires coming out the side of the stick just above the removable joint. Next will be to mount the terminal strips and relays (for the Flap Motor), and wire things up. Good day.
